Hermit Crabs?!?!

My girls were playing with some friends on Saturday and their mom called and said they were going to the Llama Festival at the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, Ut. and wondered if my girls would want to go. I said that'd be great! I knew they'd be gone for a few hours and it'd be during dinner, so I gave the girls $10.00 each to get something to EAT. When they got home around 9:00 that night, my girls were each holding a brown paper lunch bag. Guess what was in each bag?! Not leftovers, but Hermit Crabs! I was not too happy about it because we already have plenty of critters! But, what do you do? So, not only do we have 2 cats, a dog, and a gerbil, but now we have 2 Hermit Crabs! And, by the way, they can live up to 2 or 3 years in captivity! This isn't the first time pets have been brought home uninvited. We've had snakes, frogs, lizards, kittens, and stray dogs end up at our house. Thankfully, all of those only stayed a couple of days, maybe a week at the most and then we found new homes for them. But I think we're stuck with the Hermit Crabs! :]

Those are such cool hermit crabs! We actually had some when we were little, but they smelled terrible! They sure have a cook shell! (I wasn't at all surprised your girls brought home another pet. :)
